It depends which hotel you stay in, they are all various 'old' hotels which have been re-furbished to varying degrees. Can't say I've ever noticed the staff to be anything other than friendly and helpfull.

Im just back from a weekend at the Plockton Hotel which is excellent - its the second time ive been and would definatley go back.
The roads around there are quality too - unfortunaltey I was in a VW Golf

consider this a second recomendation....
we had New Year there once. Fabulous. Food was amazing, roads nearby are quality. Treated like family and made to feel really welcome.
