yeah, but in all honesty,
I wouldn't bother
The huge excess means you'll have to do some serious damage to warrant invoking the policy - see Craigieb's recent experience
If you must, then go for CCI like Kenny suggests

That said, another vote for dont bother here. You really have to be driving way beyond the limit to have a big off.
Its meant to be a safe environment where you can do things you cant on the road, in theory you should not be close enough to other cars on track to have any contact.

Krishnan - if you employ the same delicate right foot (you were using your right weren't you?

) shown at the ABZ autotest you'll be fine

Is that the same for all AON policies?
As far as I know it's on their Lotus Esteem policy underwritten by RSA, not sure about the others..

I was covered by MORIS for the teeside trackday. Similar price to CCI.
Greenlight, who I just started cover with today, let me add on trackday cover for £50 and all they do is double my road excess, so pretty good deal!

Krishnan
He phoned me the other day about this, so I advised him to contact his Insurance company, and also post on here.
I never bothered with track insurance, but it is Krishnans only and everyday car, so I can see his concern. Dont forget that it is not just yourself that you have to consider, if anybody else takes you out, then they have no obligation to make good. On the track you are on your own, apart from gentlemens agreements.
However as we all know, unless it is a complete mess and undriveable, there are ways around minor damage, which would be covered by your normal insurance.

Krishnan, that's strange that they requested a full-time instructor to insure you. They never mentioned that with me for my first day at Teesside. Try MORIS and see if they'll match the price without the instructor clause.

I've just taken cover with CCI and they didn't insist on an instructor. Admittedly the premiums a bit more than £84
