Nice hotels on the west coast.
Nice hotels on the west coast.
Any suggestions??
Oban is fairly limited for nice hotels. The best is probably the columbia or it's sister hotel on the seafront.
However, I went to a cracking Lodge house outside Oban. Bed/Breakfast and evening meal, food was excellent as you would expect in a family run place. It's situated in it's own cove and looks over the loch.
Something tells me it's near a place called Lairg, but I could be wrong. I'll google for it tomorrow (going to bed for nightshift shortly) and post up when I find it.
Cheers

You might find it's the Columba Hotel in Oban, on the North Pier, not stayed there for years but it was okay, parking is outside in carpark beside the metered area.
Also in Oban is the Alexandra, which has it's own car park, and swimming pool, and views over the bay.
If budget is pretty high the Isle of Eriska is highly recomended, esp if for valentines or anniversary etc. It's a wee bit further north but i on it's own islnad complete with Golf course and full leisure spa....
Or... further north nearer Glencoe/Fort William I would recomend the Holly Tree Hotel, great food and rooms overlooking Loch Linhe, with it's own Helipad or.......... Ballachuilish Hotel at........Balachuilsh.
Any more required, just ask.
