Knockhill on Saturday morning - IMPORTANT

Post by JohnStewart » Wed May 23, 2007 12:04 pm

If you intend to come along to Knockhill on Saturday to participate or just to watch, could you please park in paddock 2, which is behind the club house. This means taking a right turn just as you go through the gates at Knockhill.

The reason for this is that there is a big racing event on this weekend and the main paddock will be used by the teams for their trailers etc. There have been issues in the past where the arriving teams have not been able to set-up cars next to each other as our cars have been scattered around taking up any reasonable sized space.

You are still free to park on the untarred ground behind the grandstand, and also anywhere else around the track - it's just the main paddock that we need to keep clear.

If we can comply with this request and all works out smoothly, then it could well open up additional track time opportunities when major events are taking place.

John

PS There are a few slots available now - please contact me by email on john@sidc.co.uk if you are interested, though I'll not be able to reply until Friday morning as I'm out of the country on business.

Don't think it would have to be a race car - but you might need a racing licence.

Needs to have a full roll cage.
I tried to get on one before with my National B licence, and they said no-go without roll cage.

Pity cos its good value!

that could be fun for the summer :D

Still with the amount of track days the RLC has got lined up, not got time to test as well!

Sidc this weekend, then weekend off for Toms wedding, then TT07, then LOTRDC at Silverstone, then Cadwell..........thats nearly me through June! Superb :)

Just heard from Ariel, July is confirmed as atom arrival month...now just need one of the 31 days to be selected

Bollocks, have the license but no roll cage.

Mind you, I would be chuffed as hell to make it through the 4 hour SIDC, never mind an 8 hour session.

But no overtaking rules would have been great.

It was at Oulton, and it was unreal how fast the 911 race cars where!! Awesome sight and some special machinery on track, along with people who knew where they were going and useful for picking up lines
