Anyone know this Elise??

Post by Malky007 » Thu Jan 26, 2006 1:27 pm

Was wondering if anyone knows about A*02 PXM it’s a yellow S2, been looking for an S2 for w wee while and just spotted this one, garage use to have an S2 Exige, so I’m guessing someone’s traded up. Last S2 I looked at had belonged to someone who used it enthusiastically.

Any info before I have a look would be appreciated, although I’m not sure about the colour

Cheers

Yes indeedy that is my old car.
Graeme from MMC P/exd for the exige that was there.
Its a standard car with the 111s wheels, undertray and exhaust.
The first owner i believe was the chief engineer of Lotus hence why the car is "special". The previous guy before me was a big pansie so i dont think he drove it hard. He told me that he had never tracked it. I tracked it once or twice (cant remember exactly  ) at KH and had it for around 7 months covering around 7k miles. The alloys where mint. There was an insurance claim on it requiring some respraying by the previous guy. HPI check comes up with around 27 hits which is relatively high, i believe. Graeme had told me that the paint required relaquering what ever that means. Id check that that has been done.
Think thats about it, any other questions just ask, ps whats it on at?

A friend of mine is a mechanic there and has just fitted a timing belt and rear pads to it earlier this week.

it registers on hpi everytime some runs a check, either for insurance or for trade in etc. dont know how much to read in to that. :?

with regards the colour, i quite liked it! although black is much better! 8)

Hi Malky,

Yes indeed that is the car that was in Murray's stock....traded it to them for 2 reasons really

1. Graeme was keen for the exige, lots of people looking at Exige right now and its in nice easy wearing colour, again we knew the previous owner and had also been sold and maintained by us from new. Also the yellow elise did not have full Lotus history so was harder for us to retail with Lotus Approved warranty.

2. We have another yellow... lower mileage elise just about to come into stock that will be retailing at the same price! so made sense to do the swap so we have better variety of stock.

Let us know if you need any further info on the car.

Thanks
Pauline

East Port Garage by any chance? My mate is the showroom manager there, he know's his sports cars too.

Although I may be a bit biased I have always known them to take a great deal of care with any car that passes through their doors.
