hi guys
had ago at this auto test malarky today at moffat motor club lovely big bit of smooth tarmac ,spent a wee while setting course up before anybody else turned up just to make sure it was ok to drive all in all three cars turned up 2 westys n the so called club car (rover 100) and about 7ish members t drive it more a fun nite suppose but we were all timed just to make it interesting things went well untill the guy who organised it sarted shouting at me :shock: he explaned that i had just fukced it up for every one leavin black marks on tar ,what did he expect at least i no the lsd works :D any way i expressed my displeasure n left ,thing that realy hacks me off is i went out my wae to help these guys set this up even came to a few se autotests t see how its done :D so up shot is not going to any of ther crappy meetings any more and i am quite sure a few more people feel the same its just a same when somthing local does not work out because the wrong persons in charge...cheers bri

Are skidmarks not inevitable when doing an autotest? How do you handbrake turn and not leave black marks?

Sounds like you had fun anyway, at least you went out in style :lol:

Sounds like a real shame. It sounds like he was being very precious about his tarmac. Sliding small light cars around really does not harm the surface. There are many venues I have seen being used heavily over the years, will no adverse effect from autotesting.

Oh well, good effort for giving it a go.

See the meets section for the next autotest at Johnstone, bring the westie along & give it go.

Dont really understand how you could expect to do an Autotest and not wheel spin on your first few attempts!!
24 hours in a day. 24 beers in a case ... coincidence?
