Graeme Bremner is competing in his new Exige this year.
http://www.westhouse.plus.com/results/K ... 4-2007.pdf
He blitzed the track record with a 90.56 (I notice the old record was 95.38 which I think is mine in the Elise, they must've deleted tut's 'banned' Elise record of 91 summat).
I'm not sure of the car spec but somebody mentioned SC K-series...
I think this year will be the last for a while where an Elise variant will have a shot at the overall title.

No cars in class A1! Class C5 will be entertaining this season too. Look at Jonathan's final two runs....
You going to be back here to make it to any events Ali?
I thought Bremner's car was an Elise but maybe I'm wrong.

Looks doubtful, I'm not back 'til August and I'll be heading to France etc. on that trip. Might be able to look in at Kames on 4th/5th Aug on the way down...
Hopefully I'll be at Charade when you're at Fintray on 11th Aug.

...checking back I did 95.23 and Tut 91.21 (April 24th 2005) so something amiss in the record books/results.

How do I find out more about this sprint stuff? I tried doing google searches for 'scottish' & 'sprint' a year or so ago and was getting some really weird sites. I gave up.
Was sort of kit do you need (transponder etc etc)?
Andy.

No transponder required. All you need is a helmet and overalls, simple timing strut (I recall we made one for Iain T from a bit of rubber!) and an MSA licence (non-race Nat B so no test or anything).
135R would be class A8, 'Marque Sports Cars'. It'd likely struggle against Graeme Bremner's beast but more than able to challenge the Porsche's, TVR's, TR8's, Ginetta's etc.

Ali
I was told secretly before the season started that Graeme had gone down South and bought a Turbo Technics Elise. Could of course been an Exige.
As that is a K series that has then been supercharged, he should be eligible for A8, though no doubt my friend David could still find a way of banning him from the class as it is not a Lotus Showroom model.
I just hope that he manages to get the max 32 points in at least 8 events, and gets the overall Sprint Championship that I was going for.
As my car was in A8 in 2005, how could they delete my Kames record? He would have had to beat it by 2secs to get max points.

Ali
Just sent a mail to David Baker, copy to George Ritchie, GAC, asking why my Kames Class record had been deleted.
I see that Graemes was the only car in Class 8.

Behave yourself tut
Graeme will score against the championship bogey which is set by DB...end of story
His car BTW is listed as a 2.0 Exige for Doune this weekend, so just as standard as yours is/are

The results do say class record...I'm assured it's a typo and nothing controversial though.

As you say the bogey need not relate to the class record.

Tried behaving once Lawrence, did not feel right(BG)...........
Tis all water under the bridge now, but I still reckon he worked it so that I could not compete in 2006.
Would have been great fun competing against Graeme in A8 this year though.
