that rasies another point ... an exige i looked at has A048s on front and Continentals on the rear.
Anyone use Continentals ?
Never heard of this.
Cheers

That would be dodgy to say the least - imagnie hitting standing water in that!

Why only a one owner car? Limiting your choice for no reason there imho.

yeah i thought it was weird. They were all weather tyres as the tread was deep but i thought the point of A048s, 39s was that it was soft because a Lotus was light hence more ground surface area.

your mate with the 993 GT2 invented lemmings and therefore is loaded

think he posted before about £1200 for tyres £1500 for brakes etc etc.

Seeing as you are in the ferry have you never thought about just asking the guys at AutoEcosse to source you one - i think they provide a service like that (tho prolly charge a lot for it?)

I'd have to disagree.
They're good at getting a nice piece of german kit for you (I bought the Uberbarge there, but it was Richard Lawson's own car), but not entirely sure of Gordon's knowledge of Lotus/TVR/Caterham etc....
For example, the Cerbera they currently have is RAF, whereas the M5 is lovely

Oi!
My old car was all shiny and pristine when I left it with them and they've sold it now anyway.

The salesman Gordon phoned me while I was on the slopes in France last week to ask where the lock-nut removal tool was! Must admit that caught me out when I first got the car!
Perhaps someone really lazy, traded their dirty silver S1 for a clean one!
