Not too sure what the Touring Pack does and doesnt come with TBH - I know the suede doors and carpets are part of it.

Agree with Mr Rolfe above - also, not tracking it because it is going to be expensive kind of implies road use is going to be cheap - which for a few owners isnt the case. Decent tyres / servicing/ a few breakages and it`ll not be cheap motoring regardless of how where you use it.

And for someone who has been asking questions for over a year you should know the specs inside out by now!

Agree with the above points - would also reckon if you just want it for road use though the touring pack may be more advantageous.

Seems criminal to have an Exige and not track it - but still, good on you for getting one regardless.

You could have bought Ed's pretty cheaply just 3 weeks ago and it had the ideal spec for you.

You really should and that will change your mind! 8)
been around Knockhill in a fiesta  and a formula3 car 8) ... that was fun. Dont want to track the Exige at all to be honest , sounds expensive and i wouldnt be any good. Dont want a convertible ether hence avoiding 111R .... and i am not a boxsters fan sorry .. hence an Exige.
So you're buying it for the look of a road racer? I'd have serious reservations about buying a car with the shortcomings (day-to-day wise) of an Exige/Elise if you're using it as a cruiser. You'll sell it before you know it and loose a stack of money into the bargain.

There's no way I'd put up with the harsh ride & the noise unless I got to spank the life out of it on track. Just a thought..
Yip but im young, supple and quite short :) .... besides i have wanted one for ages and moved house so i had a nice wee garage to put it in. I only drive 16 miles per day but suspect that may increase soon :) ... i would not want any other type of sports car bar the unafforable. Evo 10 is looking good though so that could be an option in a couple of years.

I hear what you're saying mate, but I was 24 when I bought mine and stand by what I'm saying. The trips to tesco with shopping on the g/f's lap, drips from the roof and the buzz of motorway cruising does take its toll :) I admire your commitment to the car, and if you want it buy it, but do so with your eyes completely open :)

I did read on PH that someone got through A048s after 1000 miles of track use versus a road users 7000 miles. Sounds like two extremes but thats my point.

7000 miles is good going for road use, but in relation to "other" cars its still a silly low number of miles to get out of 500sheets worth of tyres. I would hate to buy a car and then worry about using it in case I have to buy new tyres sooner etc.

Thanks for the input Greg, no offence taken :D ... my wife has a car for the long trips ...... i am just nipping to work and back again ...... on the back roads of course. The exige is just something i have to do, decided on getting a sports car again before we have kids and just cannot see myself in anything else, nothing else come close to doing it for me to be honest. I just want a low mileage, one owner exige (with AC) that i can take care of and sell on again if needs be.

... expensive aim to please but hey you only live once. (would love an F40, thats pretty Raw).

that rasies another point ... an exige i looked at has A048s on front and Continentals on the rear.

Anyone use Continentals ?

Never heard of this.

Cheers

That would be dodgy to say the least - imagnie hitting standing water in that!
Why only a one owner car? Limiting your choice for no reason there imho.

yeah i thought it was weird. They were all weather tyres as the tread was deep but i thought the point of A048s, 39s was that it was soft because a Lotus was light hence more ground surface area.
