Macs Garage open for business???

Post by DDtB » Tue Jan 17, 2006 12:38 am

:D

Looks like there's a fair bit of leakage somewhere in my exhaust thingy, possibly around the flexi thingy (pure dead good at car mechanic things I am)..... wondering what the opening hours for Macs Garage are these days......???? :scratch

I take it it won't really do too much harm apart from sounding crappy to continue using it in this state??? :scratch

Cheers.

Dave.

You are welcome to my old flexi if you want, seems to be ok & not leaking but the braiding has gone for a Burton and tizzes like mad at 2.5k revs. Maybe a jubilee clip or some locking wire would sort it, at least tempry like. I'll have a look tomorrow. :thumbsup

Fcuk me telly is sh!t at this time of night.

Dave,

I'm free tonight if you want to pop over and we'll have a looksee.

Depending on the problem I'm sure we could schedule some work for Saturday (MORNING!)

Dave,
I'll bring round the old one that I welded up, it should do for a while.

7ish will be fine.

Garage is a bit on the dull side but I have a head torch to shine light where required.

Cheers

Still, the numbers I gave you for those dancing girls should brighten the scenery up a wee bit....

Well, that was the first real task for the new facility and well it pretty much failed.

Still missing some vital bit of equipment, like more sockets and spanners, rags and lights.

But the basics are there, and it will develop in time I'm sure.

HUGE thanks to Mac & Stephen for the mechanicy work tonight.... I think I also did a pretty good job handing them tools ....

Only slight problem is..... when I got out the car at home there was a really nasty burning smell and I think the flexi has blown again.... d'oh!

On the bright side.... I can think of worse ways to spend a few hours in the near future than bantering at Mac's Auto Repairs and handing the grease monkeys tools!!
