Went into town last night....

Post by jj » Sun Apr 24, 2005 9:47 pm

With the car, as was going out but not boozing. Parked up at George Square, then headed to Royal Exchabge Sq for a bit. Walked back to the car to change shoes at about 10.30, and there were a few neds hanging about it,

"Im gonnae tan the windae", ned no2 then says "dinnae think of the weans", at which point ned no1 launches a massif greener out his mouth onto the roof of my car!

I was walking towards the car at this point, flashed the alarm and they walked off mumbling something at me.

Is this what I have to look forward to!? Anyone else had any similar experiences? Other than that had nothing but good reactions etc but it worries me for leaving it anywhere!

Hmmmm :( Scum.

Have to admit, if I'm taking it out, I like to leave it a little less out in the open than George Square... I'm sure Cambridge Street or Concert Square multi stories are open 24H now and they're not too pricey... Rather somewhere that isn't on a route between anywhere and anywhere else....

The worst I've had is a young slapper flash her tits and try to lay on the front clam when I was waiting at the lights on Sauchiehall Street

Scum indeed.
Concert Sq multi :thumbsup
Parked there when I stayed in Glasgow one sat night (not in the Elise mind) and only cost £1 from 6.00 on the sat to 4.00ish on the Sunday. And it has CCTV IIRC.

Im thinking thats the plan from now. The NCP across from the Tunnel, up from diamond dolls is probably a better bet as it means less walking if its down that end of the town.

Although its a bit sh*t when you cant leave a car parked in town for a couple of hours!

If I were leaving it in town at the weekend, I'd stick it in the Strathclyde Uni. car park under Registration building. Not sure of the name of the St. It's the steep one, just off George St.

Above the NCP thieves.

They used to leave the barrier up at the weekend. Don't know if they still do. Safe enough there and free. Excellent for parking when Xmas shopping.

But Shhhhhh, don't tell everyone! ;-)
