Paul

If tut was driving it, it would be way to fast to land an F15 on it, never mind a Microlight<BG>

Gap Tallard with Marcus ? If it is I did two weeks there in Feb 2005 , its a great place would be even better in summer .

Back to airfields . I spoke to my Dad who has given me a contact to speak to for Perth. The guy I thought was in charge is not . He vaguely remembers the same question being asked by a car club last year but he cannot remember the outcome .

Teesside Autodrome can be hired fairly cheaply, don't know what it is like though
Thats about 2 miles from my house and this is the first of me hearing about it....

...looks like its up to me to do some more digging. :drive

Anyone know who set it up last time? I think Star performance did a drag strip type thing a few years ago. Not what we want for S.E....
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

was at a supermoto event there a couple of years back which was brilliant but other than that appears to have gone quiet?

Edzel was converted to a circuit a couple of years ago, but mainly for bikes.

Walshy was interested in it as a track location for training and track days, and I went along with him together with Willie Robertson who owns Crail, but it did not come to fruition.

The main runway at Kirknewton is really badly broken up. They've been trying to fund resurfacing but its not looking likely. I had a shot of a RR Silver Shadow there and it felt like I was sitting on a bouncy bean bag.

Although thinking about it you could ask Oban (Connal) :D

(lovely fresh tarmac. 6 million refurb, but errm no flights and no prospect of them as you can't fly in there when it is cloudy. Won't, wasn't and will never be approved for IFR flights, not clear why the council spent all that money but I'm sure they had their reasons).
