From the late Ayrton Senna:-
"Being second is to be the first of the ones who lose."
Quite liked it......

How about my PE teacher:
"No one is leaving till I see that everyone has showered!"

nothing to do with winning, but one of the most intelligent quotes from a racing driver ever. Unsurprisingly from Senna aswell.
Can't remember the exact words or when it was but when the interviewer asked him "whats it feel like to be the best racing driver in the world ?" he replies with "I'm not, some homeless kid on the streets of Sau Paulo probaly is but nobody will ever know" sad but very very true

Ralph Schumacher, in his early days; interviewed (in press conference I think):
Interviewer; "So what happened on lap (??)?";
Ralph "I did a f*ck up",
Interviewer, "moving on swiftly..."

Which if I'm not mistaken

You have quoted this your self on here at some point ...and for the record you cant

Technically you can. Thinforth's car could be polished but it would just end up looking a shiney turd
