Anyone been to Vegas?

One of my best mates is having his stagger there.
I don't think I have deep enough pockets for this....

I went to Vegas as part of my 7000 mile drive around the states. Apart from a scary overheating moment in the desert in our sh*t Chevy Cavalier it was awesome.

Flights at this time of year are about £300 and accomodation in a nice hotel will be around $120 a night for two people. This is a nice time to go as well as it won't be TOO hot (think hot a Scottish summer :) ) but will be kinda chilly at night.

It's very tacky in a cool American kind of way. Free drink while you gamble. Plenty to do if you get bored, helicopter ride around the grand canyon, Rent a F355 or Viper etc.

It's one of those things that you absolutely have to do at least once in your life!

I went about 8 months ago with the g/f and it we both loved it, we both want to go back later this year. As Rossatron says it is massivly tacky but not in a cheap blackpool way, there is loads of money behind it all. Think blackpool on steriods!

We stayed in the imperial palace, bit old and in need of re-furb but right on the strip and cheap! Just set you limit for gambling as it is far too easy to get carried away!

We used the monrail to get about and make sure you get to see some of the sights too!

Remember you get free drinks while you are gambling in the big casinos just keep tipping the waitresses! :drink

Enjoy!
