Tim Wilkinson

Post by tut » Tue Dec 20, 2005 6:44 pm

I had to post this on S_E this afternoon, but as some of you may not see it, but know Tim, I will add it onto here.

"I just had a phone call that you never wish to hear. It was from David Patterson, Sarah’s father, who was Tim’s girlfriend. She got home last night and was not able to get in the house, the police forced entry, only to find that Tim had hanged himself.

I do not have any more details at the moment, only that it was completely out of the blue, with no warning. He had been round at Sarah’s parents for dinner on Sunday, and in fact was just about to get a promotion. I find it impossible to believe myself, a lot of you knew Tim, the Aberdeen mob very well, and I never saw him anything other than happy enough with life, especially when he was driving his Elise quickly. He called around with Sarah a couple of weeks ago and was hoping to get more Elise time in this year, and considering going in for the Sprint Championships.

I will let you know anymore that I can when David gets back to me.

I'm sitting in a bit of a state of shock. Most folk on here won't know Tim and I only met him a few times. But he was the sort of bloke you wish you knew better, you know?

Always seemed up for a laugh - bloody quick and just a top-drawer bloke.

There's never any logic to things like this, especially from the outside, but I honestly thought that it was the start of a joke when I read it....

I'll be raising a glass to his memory the next time I have one.

I've also let my feeling known on Yahoo.
I started to write more here last night and couldn't finish it.

RIP mate.

Thoughts go out to his family and those that knew him. Sad loss.

Mac

I queried David Patterson over this, but he said that tragic though it was, they wished the circumstances to be known.

If it's their wishes then so be it.

I just can't help but think that their may be vistitors to the site that will read it and pre judge him.

Sarahs sister Emma was around yesterday to see Clare, so it bought it back to me.
