I was ripped off...................
How come, did it have bald tyres, no tax and break down just after you got it?

.... but the 19k becomes what once Vat + Registration and transport is done? Near 23.
There was an S sold in Jersey a month or so back for £26k.
I am of the belief (entirely impartial

) Prices will hold into spring. Like Kenny I too am glad I bought used and bought well!

You buy it, you enjoy it, and what the hell is the point of worrying about the resale value?
It is what it is, but the moral of the story is dont sell it unless you have no option, but when you do, it will always be for less than you think that it is worth.

FWIW, have a look on
http://www.parkers.co.uk for Porsche Boxster valuations and compare them with the Elise. The Boxster has long been thought of as one of the least depreciating cars but the prices of the early cars are on a par with the early S1s i.e. under £10k but they started at around £35k new. So the Elise and Exige hold up pretty well I think.
Just be glad you're not a Vectra enthusiast
