Tyre Dressing

Would anyone care to recommend me a tyre dressing?

Longevity and ease of application being the main criteria. I must be going soft in my old age, applying tyre dressing to a lease car, but that's how deep the love for my Golf R runs I have been putting Meguiars stuff on but it doesn't seem to last too long.

I like all the Autosmart stuff as it's cheap. Tyre dandy and is easy to apply. Not sure on the longevity thought.

Me too, I'm generally a big fan of Autosmart stuff, this is what I mostly use. I haven't tried tyre dandy but I did read that it washed off almost immediately if you used the car in the wet.

Have tried Highstyle, it was OK but not that great on the tyres and didn't seem to last too long.

CarPro PERL is by far my favourite.

Used Zaino Z16 for years, love the natural look it gives but it does wash off too easily in the rain.

PERL lasts a lot longer in the wet and looks great too. The first couple of times you apply it to a tyre make sure you give it two coats but after that one is fine. I've heard of people diluting it too.

Thank you, I have just read some feedback on the Perl and it sounds ideal. Ordered a 500ml bottle.

Carpro seem to have a lot of good stuff out there at the moment.

I haven't tried a bad carpro product yet.

The CQuartz paint sealant, reload spray sealant and Perl rubber/tyre dressing are all really good.

The HyrdO2 spray on touchless sealant is absolutely different class. Best cleaning product I've discovered for years.

A very quick wipe with paint thinner gives a fantastic matt finish.

Well a big thank you to Stevo for the PERL recommendation. Applied some to the tyres today and it looks great. Can't comment on longevity yet but it wiped on very easily.

As a bonus, I seen on the bottle that you can dilute it 1:5 to use on leather, so my tatty old sofa now looks like new ! What a transformation with the leather, brilliant.

Autoglym have a gel that rubs and lasts, rather than their sprays which look good but don't last. But a Golf R, ffs....

IMO it doesn't... it leaves a silicone layer that shines but also doesn't do the surface of your tyre much good.
Much better with a silicone free tyre dressing like Autoglym or even better the gels that leave a longer satin finish that stuff doesn't stick to
