I want to sell my 335i Convertible.
I fancy a 640d coupe ........ 313bhp standard - remap takes it up towards 390bhp
tax is about £150 a year
30 approx to the gallon realistically
D
Andy G and Scott Robson have both had 640d's and I believe they both rated the car
Another

for the 640d, I've got the GC version which it makes it a little more practical.

£20k for a 17 year old A4 with 121k which has non-functioning a/c, needs a front end re-spray and has rust on the rear quarters?
Definitely not for everyone!

VX220 2.2 - Gone
BMW 335d Touring F31- Fastest car on the road
MINI Cooper 1.5- More fun than the BMW

Love the look of the GC much more than the standard 6er coupe.
Would really like one but it wouldn't fit in my garage
EDIT: just checked and it's just over 5m long, my garage is 6m minus the 600mm kitchen cupboards so it would go in- definite contender!

Nope, but it's quicker than another friend's Gallardo....

Ok, just seen this thread and not bothered to read all of it, first thoughts.
Volvo XC70 or XC90... not the V70.. Something that can sit in the drive unwashed and covered in mud and it still looks natural... This is the work horse..
For a second car, this is the clean car, how about one of the last of the previous style Jaguar XKR series, aluminium body, luxury and 400bhp.
Then invest the left over money in something else and Buy a 2020 Elise when they come out.
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

No SUV's for me - yes I'm weird. I think that the V70 would be a better car than an offroader, which I will never need to take off road. If I needed the extra seats, space and needed to off road then an SUV would make sense, but not for us. Ta
XKR had much appeal!

The xc70 isn't an suv. Just a more rugged v70. It's what dave has.
Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.
....did i ever tell you about the Evora and VX220 i used to own?

Yeah.. xc70 is basically a 4wd v70 with chunky bumpers and stuff. Not an suv. The xc60 and 90 are more suv like.
I’d happily have a RRS to replace it.. love suvs

I'm with you, don't like SUVs but went to look at a V70 at the weekend and it was very old fashioned inside. Like the idea of an old Volvo but I'm not sure I can live with the reality.

The easy way to not end up driving a V70 all the time is to not buy one and just hire a van a couple of times a year, which will cost the same as road tax on an old shed Volvo. If I needed something more sensible than the Evora and not dull I'd be tempted by a M6 gran coupe.

I really enjoy my xc70 tbh. Part of that is down to the old school tech. Had a new Astra at the weekend and it had far too many distracting driver aids.. like steering against me if I changed lanes without indicating and constant flashing lights on the dash and speedo etc to tell me about cars ahead or beside me etc
Sitting on the m8 for hours in rush hour traffic is a waste of a good car so and old Volvo is perfect. Already had one guy run into the back of it and it shrugged it off. No damage to mine.
Also means you really appreciate the evora when you use it at weekends. When it was my daily it was easy to take it for granted and forget how special it is.
Xc70 was brilliant for dump runs as part of the house move and was superb in the snow this week.
‘Mon the volvos!!!
