What a stupid idea, just what you want, a bloody wiper right in the middle of the screen to catch your eye and obscure your view.

The car does look great and they have done a good job with the weight and aerodynamics, but they do not have to do silly things like that to emulate a Le Mans car, and saving a few grams by leaving out the boot mat is just a gimmick. If I was buying I would also like extra power, lost count of all the variables now, but at least 410hp which would also be a marketing point as it puts it over the 400 level.

They are only making 60 so be interesting to see how quickly they sell. Wonder how much the titanium exhaust is which saves a useful low down 10kg?

Titanium exhaust is 5k and you could have a 460hp charge cooled car from Komotec if you want more power.

In defence of their wiper, as much as I hate the look of it, the standard one does start to flap about a lot at "higher" speeds

Steve.
I was away to say the Komotec car wont come with a 3 year warranty, but the Cup wont either...

There's a Service Bulletin to retro fit the central screen wiper park mode to earlier cars.

I can just hear the comments 'nice car mister but is your wiper broke?'

I didn't think mid-position wipers met pedestrian head-bumping regulations.

Regardless, as it's a Lotus, the wiper will stop between at x degrees from TDC (-10 < x < 10 and x!=0) , and bug the sh*t out the mildy-OCD polishers/collectors who buy one. :D

This all hints toward Lotus stopping their support for Lotus Cup racing if they are only making 60 Exige Cup 380's and the 3-11 isn't eligible for any of their race series yet. Unlikely all buyer of the 380 would race them and the race version is £120k.

Looks really good and I actually like the centre wiper. Wonder how much to take a Sport 380 to Cup spec via options list as most of the parts are bolt ons for the Sport.
Lot of money though for an Exige. I wonder if they are trying to tap into the Porsche RS/GT market with limited production runs which increase resale values.
