Seats - submarining risk??

Post by Tim S » Sun Mar 26, 2017 7:45 pm

Hi all

As the kids get older (8 & 10 now), they're no longer needing to use booster seats as passengers in the Elise.

But, their legs are much too short to reach the footrest, and with the leather seats they tend to slouch and slide down in the seat. I'm worried about them submarining out under the seatbelt and into the footwell if I ever had a crash.

Has anyone else thought the same??

And if so, any thoughts on solutions, apart from keeping them on the booster??

Thanks

Tim

I'd get a CG Lock - http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performan ... stabiliser I used to use have them before I had harnesses and it allows you to tighten the lap part of the belt which should hopefully keep them in place.

Thanks Neil - I'll give that a try.

Cheers
