Coincidentally, we watched The Martian on NowTV last night (it seems that when my toddle actually decides to go to sleep we DO have time for films!) Great film and well worth a watch.
I'll have to check out The Expanse too.
I missed out on Interstellar - it was on my watch list, but is no longer available

Its worth it Chris promise

The Expanse is something special. Its the research into the details that I like. The story occupies a time in space 200 years in future when humans have the tech to populate other planets but not to escape our solar systems. In that respect its unique. "Belters" living in space can no longer "go down the well" , live on gravity planets as their bodies cannot cope with the G force. It deals with the little details well. Not 100% perfect I am sure but better than any Sci-FI I have seen on TV before.
Daniel Abraham is the author (Corey is pen name) , he is/was a George RR Martin assistant on GoT books.

Sky has a Syfy channel but it is a different one and The Expanse is not on there. Is it on Prime?
Have to get it by a different means.
