Gutted

After a great morning at Petit Paris then at Craig's returned home and parked on my drive as I have hundreds of times without a problem, was making the dinner at 5.30ish when there was a bang outside thought nothing of it until my neighbour ask to see me went out and found my cars handbrake had slipped and it had run down the drive and into his car door. I have always parked in gear but somehow this time did not.



Cannot believe I have had the car back for just over 2 months after waiting a year for a front clam just need to hope I can get a rear one a lot quicker, back to the duck tape look

It was looking really good in all the pictures I've seen too.

Oooof - looked great too. At least you are OK, cars are often easier/quicker to fix than bodies. Sorry for your bad luck.

Jeez, that's bad luck. Fingers crossed for a speedy repair. I too "usually" park in gear... will make sure it's always!

I've always parked my cars in gear since I was nearly T-boned by a runaway S1 Exige in the paddock at Knockhill about 10 years ago!
I suspect this will be the reminder for you to always do so from now on!
Hopefully both cars are fixed with the minimum of fuss.

I have a steep driveway .... i shall be parking every car in gear from now on.

Geeez Alan, I hope you don't have the wait you had on the last clam and get it sorted quickly! Glad nobody was hurt, bright side I guess is she'll be properly minted when you get her back. Was your neighbour understanding enough, nowt worse than falling out with a nighbour

Thanks for the sympathy still feeling annoyed with myself but insurance claim underway so hopefully not too long before it gets sorted.

Neighbour has been great understands it was an accident and happy to get his car repaired.

The worst is that when it was getting the front clam done I had the rest of the car painted so it was in great condition never mind fingers crossed it will soon be all sorted again.

Errm. I'd started a new job. A couple of weeks in I was a little punctual, screamed into the car park (Saab 900 turbo), jumped out and ran in.

Looking into the car park 10 minutes later and I see my car is at the other end to where I had left it, at the bottom of a slope, nuzzling gently against my new boss's car.

So could be worse.
