Not happy......

Post by David Bryce » Tue Oct 24, 2006 12:02 pm

I'm not a happy bunny!

I decided to take yesterday off work to have a nice long drive in my new toy and within 10 minutes the damn thing stopped working

I had just stopped to put some fuel in and when I tried to start her back up the engine management light came on and she just revved up and down with no response from the throttle.

After starting and stopping her a dozen times she eventually let me take her home, the light is still on though.

I have just called MMC Edinburgh and they can't check it out until a week on Thursday!

The only good thing I suppose is as I have just done over 750 miles she will get her first service at the same time and hopefully they can also check out the REALLY annoying rattling sound that is coming from the front drivers side.

Sorry to hear that sound like a nightmare

I would get on the phone to MMC and kick up stink - 10 days for them to even look at it - not good enough IMO

I would be kicking the fcuk place down, i bet you Arnold Clark would treat you better than that! A Week and 3 days until they can fit you in to have a look at your brand new car they just sold you..... I could understand if it was a bit of loose trim, or you requiring your first service...... That is just plain bollocks!

Rant Over.....

Is it just me or what!

get your ass round there and demand they take it off your hands and get a car of equal 'status' back in response...

tell graeme that if they can't see it until next thursday, you'll park it outside their place on Saturday with a poster in the window saying 'broken car - 10 days old'! Either that, or go in on Saturday when Graeme's courting new customers and make some loud complaints.

Gutted for you mate, really I am :(

Greg, it's not really got anything to do with Graeme now. He is sales, not aftersales so you need to speak to Bill Young.

Well I have just given them another call to clarify that next Thursday is the quickest they can check it out, they say if I don't need a courtesy car then they can do Monday.

Unfortunately that is bugger all use to me as I am going to Coventry on Sunday morning and getting back Monday night, I'm then off to Oban first thing on Tuesday morning and back Wednesday night.

I suppose I was hoping to get it sorted in the next couple of days but as she needs her first service anyway and I had no intention of taking her on my journeys this weekend it's not that bad.

Oh and maybe they can also tell me why the handbrake warning light comes on when I take a corner quite fast!

Well as long as your not bothered by the sloppy service you have received! I guess there are us who will put up with what we have been told, and others that will kick up sh*t.

Iam sure you have done this, but make sure that they have actually booked a slot for the service and checking out the problem!

Cheers,

Dave
