I have always thought that the tragic death of Ayrton Senna robbed the world of a real battle in Formula 1 as seeing Schumacker v Senna would really have been something. Formula 1 really needs great drivers and they seem to be few and far between these days far too much dependancy upon the cars.

adds up doesn't it...the man's a legend.

article in paper the other day from damon hill saying blah blah this and that(usual 'he ran in to me' sort of stuff). hill was rubbish, and only won championship finally because his car was 10 bazillion times better than everyone else's.

The Ferrari was crap when Schumi moved there though, don't forget that.
Hill was average in by far the best car.

Another great statistic is that MS hadn't had a retirement caused by mechanical failure since the French GP in 2000. Incredible reliability from them.

I'm a Schumi fan to the last. One stat he lost to Alonso was the youngest double World Champ. Alonso 25, Schumi was 26. Alonso is also the youngest GP winner, but I'm not stato enough to say if he was the youngest WC.

Point is, we may yet see Schumi's records tumble, but only if Ron Dennis can get his cars to last the duration of a GP

Can't wait to see how Kimi does at Ferrari ... doubt we'll see the Fin smashing Schumi's records just yet...

Me too. I'm a Kimi fan and, although I'm not a big fan of Ferrari, I think he's made the best decision. McLaren have had their last chance with reliability. I'd have walked from them a long time ago. I can't believe he persevered that long. I think Kimi would have won at least one, and maybe more, championships by now if it wasn't for McLaren reliablity problems (and sometimes bad luck too!).
