Caravan transported

Post by istoo » Wed Feb 17, 2016 3:53 pm

A pal has just returned to the UK and is looking to get his airstream caravan picked up / driven up from Southampton back to the Grampian region.

Can any body recommend any car transporter/ picker uppers?

Does he want it towed up or transported?

Dont know about towing Im afraid but you could try the usual car transport companies for trailer. I could do it for you but would cost a fortune without a return run (HGV with 55ft trailer for large static transport).

Towed is fine.
I would imagine a one direction trip would be biblical as its a 1000mile plus round trip.

He has a classic airstream, no idea how heavy they are...

Is it legal for UK roads? I have a sneaky suspicion that the Airstreams were too wide to comply wth C&U Regs
