If Mercs looked as good on the outside as they do inside I would have one. :lol:
You don't see the outside when driving so who cares. :)

@pjlarge and @thinfourth

My exact sentiments. Internal combustion feels ludicrous now. (Thinfourth I think it was you writing about a Leaf that caused me to sign up for the i3).

New, 330 bhp was sub 60 (ish) and overtaking in it was effortless. Sliding past 3 cars on single carriageway where I would have though long about doing one in the Golf. Just press pedal and it's instantaneous.

Sat in one when I was in the states trying to avoid my hangover and loved it. I'd have one in an instant if i wasn't poor.

I keep looking longingly at them too but the only way for us to get one would involve being Lotusless so not likely to happen. I do think they are one of the best demonstrations of future motoring and it does disappoint me a bit that Lotus hasn't added electric options to the range ( particularly given their early association with Tesla).

SO drove the P90D yesterday and bloody hell does it move in ludicrous mode. Off the line I reckon it would have the Supercharged Atom - absolutely not slip either - properly quick and would wind people up no end on track, till it broke. If i ever buy one, you've been warned :damnfunny

Pretty well screwed together, interior is minimalist on the underwhelming and dominated by that awesome centre console.

Had a little chase after a Clio Cup, and it didnt see where we went. And we were restricted to 85mph....overtaking thrust is epic.

Driving itself was a bit easy especially on country roads and its dependant on a line on the side of the lanes also!

7 seats...actually drivers seats were really supportive (apparently designed by a well known seat company).

Huge part of me thinks enjoy the master petrol engines while we can, but the future is encouraging, very encouraging. Picking people on a trackway, or even Time Attack (with 750bhp it might be fun) would be hilarious in an electric family saloon. Handled well also, pretty neutral, generates staggering grip.

Reminded me in some ways of Nissans GTR in the driving experience, just without any lag and instant full thrust. Or any fuel bills....

Put in the destination and the sat nav will not only route you via chargers, but also tell you how long the charge will take it optimise efficiency for the journey. Clever but not perfect - i.e. it will select you stop on the other side of the Chunnel when you could charge this side while you wait for it.

Handy if you've a big company tax bill around the corner certainly...

Oh it it features a Lotus - the underwater Esprit no less. Call the car 007 (yes you can name it in the computer system) and you get options for depth - Eton Musk has the original car from the film apparently - see my Facebook page from yesterday for the pic :thumbsup
