Saw that too. Still seems like quite a pricey option though.

Looking at the different kits it seems not many of them come with a UV coating - is there an alternative way of treating the lenses?

There are a verity of uv coatings that would work, gtechniq and gyeon are worth a look, they do all the good stuff.

Had my detailer use the Sylvania kit on my headlights today. Very pleased with the results. He said it took quite a bit of work with 400 grit and a machine polisher!

James - looks like a great job! I'm embarrassed to say that I still haven't done my dailies headlights yet. On the plus side, it looks like I've got the right kit going by your results

Wow what a difference, I've yet to do mine but with my pending insurance loss I've popped it on the back burner

Looks fantastic! I spent some time with t cut on mine, but they don't look like that! A bit nervous about using sandpaper myself as its 1k for new lenses, so maybe I should just get your guy to look at the!? Don't suppose he's Glasgow based?

He's Edinburgh based. He said it would be around 2 hours work if you provide the kit. Well worth it. I had mine done as part of a detail and he'd maybe travel for a full day's work.

Hi James, was it the Sylvana stuff you used and did you put the uv clear coat on? I, guessing from the pics you'd recommend?
Ps, when model of Elise do you run?

It was indeed and yes there's one cost on so far with enough for a another. It's wiped on with a cloth quite thick and it dries over a few hours.

Hi James,
Mine is an '03 135R. Picked her up in March last year and its really a bit of fun and am really enjoying ownership. I'm just doing wee bits here and there to try and get her absolutely mint, hence the headlight discussion. with a young family and particularly the weather of late, she's not been out much recently...
You couldn't send me a link to where you got your kit could you?
Maybe see you on the road sometime...

It's the same for me. A little project to enjoy at the weekends.
I got the kit from eBay -

Came in good time and no customs charges. Bare in mind the detailer added the extra sanding and buffing stages. Here's a pic in the daylight of the competed job -
