"People love airports"...... I'm astonished at that statement and couldn't disagree more; I did are a return trip every week for two years and never saw one person having a good time, this was especially true in Edinburgh airport.
I can only assume that the statement above applies to people who use airports once a year?
My experience is that you queue to get to the drop off point, queue for security, queue to buy a bottle of water, queue to go for a pee then queue to get on the plane. Where's the "love" in any of that?

The only bit that is enjoyable is if you leave here in a freezing winter and get off somewhere warm.

Mrs pete (if there is a mrs pete) once worked at Sheffield City Airport shortly after it was constructed. the airport wasn't actually open, she was writing procedures and suchlike.
I went in for a visit one day to find, to my surprise, that the car park (actually just an area of waste ground with some hard core on it) had acquired a Pay and Display meter and a sign warning of dire consequences involving a clamp if one did not comply.

The airport had no flights beyond the occasional flight checker yet they were making 20-30 pounds a week from people coming to visit the airport just to see it. Most of those people were just sitting in their cars (having first conscientiously bought a ticket) looking at the airport.

People.

I generally like airports. But I choose carefully. And I'm just a big kid really.

Airports would be great if it wasnt for the planes. Oh and the pilots. Ok no passengers either.

Think of the fun on all that tarmac, Airfield ops would feed the birds.

I use airports all over the world, some are better than others but they all have one thing in common.

They are all sh!t and are designed to relieve people of money while wasting time waiting for their next flight.
