Campbell,

No problem at all, as I was thinking the same last night anyway. Your route on the Sunday takes in where we will be on the way home roughly.

May I make a suggestion to your route. From Briancon heading south to Mont Dauphin via the N94 is pretty dull in road driving terms. If you want something a bit more appropriate for your holiday, then I would recommend taking the D902 from Briancon over the Col d'izoard pass and back down to Guillestre then join back on to your route around Mont Dauphin. It's a cracking road and I cycled it last year while following Le Tour.

Google is your friend and here is a video from South to North; http://youtu.be/n7YjZegTOJs

I will ammend my post and we will see you in Orange or maybe around Serres/Nyons area on the way down.

Much appreciated, Steve. Really value the personal experience input on the N94. Col d'Izouard adds an hour to the route, clearly worthwhile, and we can make a call at Briancon as to whether we have time left. Or if we squandered too much waiting for the AA earlier in the day ;-)

So Team Zenos updated routes:

St Quentin to Geneva (Saturday) - https://goo.gl/maps/CVQtg - 7 hrs

Geneva to Orange (Sunday) - https://goo.gl/maps/hjMRX - 8h 34

Now for the challenge of logging these into Apple Maps as accurate routes, so that the Evora CarPlay app can follow them

I have a paper map too...

Lol. Well that mostly depends how you choose to drive! I think there is still a fair bit of cruising on those routes - we just don't have the time to reach all the juicy bits. But for the odd Col, it only seemed right to liven things up.

We will clearly have to be quite reactive with the routes. It's French holiday season and we may end up in some gravy trains. So some of the nice bits may just need to be cut.

And of course everyone is welcome to suggest adaptations or just do their own thing.

I certainly don't plan on arriving at Orange at midnight Sunday, wiped out and grumpy!

Instead it's still my mission to be in the hotel pool by 18.00 Sunday.

Anyone else still not ready yet?

In fairness I think I only have European breakdown cover to book and pick up a new Gopro as mine has given up then should be good to go :thumbsup
