How do you make youtube account

Are there any computer wizards on here that can tell me how to create a youtube account with a username of my choice ? everytime i try to do it is asking me to make a google account which i can sign into multiple things,

i basically want to make a youtube account so i can start getting videos of my Evora and some of my friends other supercars and hopefully people enjoy it

Youtube is owned by google. Just create a google account ... and you'll be there. Remember that there is always scope for accidental leakage of information you consider private, so I would suggest you have a google account for the sole purpose of posting your car videos.

Note you'll need to create a channel to upload videos.

You could always just use Vimeo.
