Interested in others thoughts on these. I loved the idea and execution and appreciate that they aren't eligeable for historic racing as they are effectively 2015 cars, but I though Lord March and the owners of original cars were a bit harsh in their criticism and wrong to call them replicas. (As they are still original Jags?).

TV heads up...

I watched this last night and thought it brilliant. Would i be upset if i paid 1 million for a jag for folk to call it a replica , yip!! They do have a point, it aint a 60s race car, neither isit the same car with materials being better quality in 2015?

Beautiful car but sad the ignorance of some "classic" owners on the show.

Could not believe that the engine was not even mentioned or shown apart from briefly at the end.

No details of the difference from a standard E-Type one or even any pictures of it being built. Had to google to find anything about it.

Found I rather dull as I prefer a bit more nuts and bolts rather than the bumf about the bespoke suitcase and watch. If they mentioned the price or how I had to be perfect one more time I would have punched the TV.

Entirely agree, I thought the whole thing was staged showed, how many times did they dwell on only the incredible rich would be able to buy one? £1M, AndyG could hack that. :D The body work did not need £40K of paint on it, or tat luggage and watches, it was good engineering but purely aimed at buyers who could splash out £1M for a replica, but if they were so rich surely they could afford £6M for a genuine one?

It was spoilt by the very reason that it was perceived, completely over the top with aiming it at buyers where price is of no concern, as opposed to those enthusiasts that would buy one at a far more reasonable price for a realistic replica, as opposed to one that had to achieve perfection.

On the other hand, if was a good concept in promoting the Jaguar image which has to be beneficial, and if really was a beautiful car.

Although with all that attention to detail why did the buyer turn up in a Mercedes.
