edinburgh hotels with car
morning,
I have a pal coming along with me to the SIDC day on Saturday, he is taking his Viper along for a Jolly. On the reserves list to get on track and hopefully will get a space. However He is heading back to Englandshire on Sunday and is looking for somewhere to stay in and around Edinburgh with somewher safe for the car. Any suggestions?

First off apologies for the sarcastic comment re the meet at Garthdee.....A Viper around KH....Awesome.......I am sure that someone somewhere in the track day organisation will let this happen....As to somewhere safe in Edinburgh...no idea, but someone on here will come along with info soon.....Saturday is looking good weather wise for both the drive down and the track day....Martin

The Balmoral hotel has secure parking - but also not the cheapest in town
No doubt the Caledonian hotel has the same arrangement.
I suspect the St James hotel is cheaper and also has parking, though in this case it's a cordoned off area of a multi-storey.
He can also leave the car in my street (no parking restrictions over the weekend) and stay at the Travel lodge

(We're on Belgrave Place which is over the other side of the main road from the hotel).
People park some pretty exotic cars here often so I would suggest minor risk. I would say parking outside the Learmonth just as safe if it weren't for the fact that the hens & stags stay there sometimes.
Cheers,
Robin

We've stayed in the Marriott out by the Maybury casino and the Malmaison down in Leith.....both have parking and seemed safe enough.......not sure if they use CCTV as car parks not barrier secured.

Holiday Inn Express in Leith?
I used to be able to park close enough to whatever room I got so I could keep an eye on the car.
Also save money on room to spend on food (Fishers, Martin Wishart, Kitchin ...

If your not desperate on being in the centre them there will be a loads of options. Norton House maybe? Not lock down secure but likely it wouldn't be the most expensive car in the car park.

I stayed in the Bonham two weeks ago, off street parking round the back, CCTV too I think. I wouldn't think twice of parking the 340 round the back.
