Re: Knockhill Cycle Event

You need one of these, yes they are all pedalling and drinking with the exception of the driver obviously.

We did it in March in Amsterdam, one of the best stag activities I've ever done. Was hilarious.Scotty C wrote:kerry we tried to do a tour on those in amsterdam, but there was only the 2 of us and we were only there during the week.
Tried to do it in Berlin 2 weeks ago, and the guy breathalysed everyone before telling us only 7 of the group could go on it

Two days after I return from the Frolic.
What do you fancy doing, 1x4hr, 2x2hr or 4x1hr sessions each?
Steve.

Re: Knockhill Cycle Event
Clockwise is best in a light westerly wind. You get an assist up the main straight and the speed down Dufas carries you through to the chicane.alicrozier wrote:Pit straight got to be a long drag. Nicer in reverse?
If there's a strong westerly blowing then anti-clockwise is maybe better. Gravity gets you down the main straight and the tailwind on the back straight gets you to the foot of Dufus. You then get a bit of shelter as you climb strenuously upwards!
Matthew did both directions when he was 8 so I think you'll be okay!

Got to be at Loch Lomond for 10am the next day so I guess I'm out.C7Steve wrote:No pressure Scotty, Ali and Kenny![]()

Also, got a 150mile cycle for Maggies Cancer Care a couple of weeks later - grovelling for sponsorship post to follow later.
Tell you what though. If someone volunteers to take me to Loch Lomond on the Sat morn I could be convinced to take part in this.

2 hour stints! I could do 2 laps?
I think I may have something else on that day (when is it?).

Thinking about it, yes. Probably down gearing all the way so everyone pedals at the same rate.ClarkyBoy wrote:Should get easier towards the rear I guess to keep everyone at the same rate?
Pretty darn huge final drive all the same. If they ever got that thing going it must have been fast.
