I've had a 335d coupe & now own a 335i DCT convertible
Cracking car, but i think the diesel is better.
especially when i remapped mine to 372bhp
58 reg onwards they revised the telematics - easier / better to use

Two negatives make a positive but only in Scotland do two positives make a negative - 'Aye right.'

S2 Exige
BMW 435d M Sport - 375bhp..... and stops now (big brakes!😁)
Work Horse - Ford Transit - Full of crap spec....... 170bhp one :-)

I've got an S4 Avant with all adjustable everything stuff. It's a great car. Quick, sure footed in any weather, comfy, full of toys, relatively practical - the boot isn't huge but it's big enough. It's fun to drive as it's quick and sounds quite good. The steering is rubbish though despite being adjustable as it has no feeling at all and in what they call dynamic mode it's just heavy so I leave it twirly comfort mode. Same with the adjutable dampers. In dynamic mode it's crashy and too hard for your average road so I leave it in comfort mode too. The diff is good fun in bad weather as you can nail it out of all the tight bends and it just tucks in the nose launches out of the bend.

It's very thirsty though. Averages about 22mpg.

I called about a C63 the other day as it was VERY CHEAP. dealer didn't call me back. 1 hour later it was up from £29,995 to £39,995

Also missed out on a 335i tourer from a dealer down south. they are like rocking horse sh1t. also been offered a 335D.

Anyway am I to old for this?

Scotty,

Suspect the Merc would be a little bit more refined than the BMW. Reason that I did not go for the Merc was that the bhp was significantly less than the Beemer.

Reckon that would suit you nicely Scotty, spec looks good even though they repeat everything three times.

I will pop up to the dealer and check out the size of the boot.

The dogs wont be in the car that often as we have this for them

Enforce logistical planning (for doggie transport) and get a 2 seater... :)

Might not be big enough in the back for the dogs though.
Lovely thing, and goes like sh1t off a shovel :-)

Not 1 63 on autotrader of piston heads, and I think they will be a bit more than my budget.
There's 3 on Autotrader now.
They are pretty pricey though. Tbh I'd be more than happy with the 350 diesel.
Mind you, the 63 has a 0-60 time of 4.3 seconds!
