How long do they have to send me my points? 14 days from flash or 14 working days?

I was flashed on 2nd November (a Sunday). First time ever by a fixed camera

Unfortunately the 14 days is a bit of a myth. That is what they aim for but they have a let out clause.

You might never hear anything, they don't all take picture even if they flash.
It's a pita as you won't know where you stand for a few weeks.

With the film cameras it usually took about seven days for it to be processed manually. However many Gatsos have now gone over to digital cameras as in the Scam Vans so it could come in quickly.

You used to have a good chance as around Aberdeen they only had eight cameras to cover dozens of Gatsos, so there could either not be one in the box, or it had no/run out of film in it. Modern computerisation and electronics has changed all that.

Was flashed on A590 in Lake district a few months ago, was weird little GATSO on high pole so assume must have been computerised one rather than film (otherwise they would need a cherry picker to recover the film). Nothing ever came of it, I couldn't have been much more than 67 in 60 on that occasion so maybe flash does not necessarily mean they will record as offence.

I wasn't doing much over and think the camera was at the other side of the road. There were two of us both a bit over so not sure it can get us both consecutively.

frustrating is that my sat nav knew where most of them were...

A standard Gatso can not issue if it is on the other side of the road, even if it flashes.

However with the twats coming up with new technology every other day who knows. Andy and I could end up in jail as we do it for fun.

If I ever get pre notification that the end of my World is nigh, then N3 will be setting UK records.

Tut - that is England vs Scotland. A front facing fixed camera in Scotland doesn't count but in England it does. So if you were flashed in England then you might still be in trouble; if you were flashed in Scotland you can forget it. How much longer that will be true for I don't know, but I believe it to be true today (and I have noticed when in the car with the more spirited drivers that they regularly set off the cameras on the other side of the road without being "done").

Couple of Scottish A68 scameras have been upgraded and are yellow all over. They may penalise in both directions now too...not sure...but I don't plan to find out!!

Other side of the road? As in facing towards you or behind you? Scotland or England?
