I just find them ugly and the 456 dated.

The FF I LOVE - my mate has one, and likes it so much he's about to sell his 2013 model for a new 2015.

Saw that with interest, but just don't get it. The Daytona, sure, obviously. And the 512 line is pretty, and has Testerossa blood in it, so no surprises they're going up.

But the 4-seaters? Really? Can't imagine there as many drooling buyers for a 412 as for the rear-engined 2-seaters. GT cars are great, but you rarely see a 4-seat front-engined car on a teenager's wall.

Glad it's an irrelevant problem for me! :D

For what it's worth, I think the F355 is the smart money right now. OK, not a V12, but with the engine in the right place, correct number of seats, a huge leap on from the 348 before it, and better looking than the 348 and 360 (IMO). It's just right in the sweet spot, but maybe it's age, or the rose-tinted retroscope, as the F355 was the lottery dream when I was 17.

EDIT: Just looked at F355 prices... wow, strong, never mind, missed the boat there too I think!

I think the F456 has great looks, and if that is a good one for £25K and you buy with your eyes wide open, then it is a hell of a lot of car for the money. It will also be an investment as all the other models increase in value.

Chap came to look at the house a couple of weeks ago, and he had the for me the most desirable model, red with a manual box. It also has Elise S1 wheels. :D

ps:- just found its twin, RHD, red, manual, but lower mileage at £99.5K.

I love them. The 400 is very cool, the 456 is as classy as ever and the 612 has really grown on me.

As for where smart money goes currently Ferrari wise, the 355 boat sailed a few years back unfortunately - I was hoping to be in a position to get one before this happened... never mind :(
The 308 / 328 has left the stable too, and headed for the lofty heights.
Even the 308 GT4 has gone up.

From an investment point of view, I think the 348 is the pick of the bunch. From what I gather, they are better than the 355 in some ways (less assisted) and, for me anyway, that Mini-Testarossa look is great, and nicer than the bigger brother, especially the oddly face lifted 512.
They are cheaper than others at the moment, and will only raise as others (with more money than me) make the same realisation and the demand grows.
There is also much less to go wrong than with a 456!

If I had the cash my daily runaround would be a 612 Scaglietti.

Awaits six numbers......

Pretty much sums it all up for me too.... :thumbsup

I disliked the 612 when it was first launched, and couldn't understand how it could replace the stunning 456.....but lately, with the scalloped sides, in the right colour, with the daytona seats, is lovely now in the flesh. Would have a 4 seat prancing horse over any similarly priced 2 seater any day, so much more classy and useable. Save the two seats for a more compact sports car :thumbsup :blackeye

I'd have a 550 or a 575, though they've got expensive now too.

I disagree, think it looks great in a dark colour.

I know not a V12, but the 355 would be my fezza of choice.

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.
