Re: Zenos
Get the 6 point. 4 points red up too high when you tighten the shoulder straps. The extra straps hold the buckle done in position

Can be avoided if you tighten the lap straps very firmly, then the shoulder straps.mckeann wrote:Get the 6 point. 4 points red up too high when you tighten the shoulder straps. The extra straps hold the buckle done in position

Re: Zenos
I see they've now got an E10 S Track on their website. Is this what you're going for?flyingscot68 wrote:You're bang on Neil, I've ticked almost all the boxes and got a bit carried away.neil wrote:You've done exactly what I would have done and ticked all the option boxes, most of which can be replaced with a can of man up. Why not stick to your original plan of a launch edition car at £29k that'll (probably) still run rings round most things on track?
After a wee re-think of what I could add later if all is going well I've chopped over £4k off the price.
I can do without the screen and roof, the uprated brakes and suspension can come later if needed.
I'd stick with the S though as the standard car has very little scope for tuning, it's already fairly well worked upon to take the motor to 200bhp. The S motor is exactly as it is in the Focus ST.
So I've chopped the options back to heated passenger seat, xenon lights and dry sump system.
Thanks for the input

Having had a Focus ST as a an autobahn hire car a couple of weeks ago I can see the attraction of the engine!

Re: Zenos
Yes, it's the track version I fancy. Seems the obvious choice.
The ST goes well then?

Yes, I was very impressed with the ST. The torque steer was noticable but you wont have that issue with the Zenos. I think the top speed Zenos are quotings a bit pessimistic unless their using a short box, given that the Focus with double the weight will easily go well over that. I'll be very interested to see the Zenos when you get it. I'd probably have ordered one myself if I had a garage and enough cans of man up...

I know to do the lower ones first. Maybe it was just the shape of me, but no matter how tight I got the bottom belts (to the point I couldn't breathe, when I tightened the chest straps I could pull the buckle upwards. Your only relying on friction to hold it down, much better to have a physical tie down. Given the option, I would always go for 5-6 point.

Autocar have just released a hands on video of it:
Re: Zenos
Still not a 100% convinced on the styling, but at £25k you cant argue.
2-11's still haven't fallen to that level.
Caterhams are overpriced.
Atoms, well you might get an earlier NA one for that.

Can't wait to see the E11/12.
I just hope they make it that far.

Re: Zenos
I never got to drive the Elise at the weekend as planned, got a viewing for our house so had to take that. Pity, as they turned out to be total time wasters
So after much mental mucking about I sent in the updated Zenos order form today for the E10S Track.
Only options I went for are:
Six Point Harnesses
Heated Passenger Seat
Tonneau Cover
Xenon Lights
Dry Sump System
I should have the car in May, here's hoping for another excellent summer

Heated seats? Are they not fiberglass?
That's pretty damn cool.

They're some sort of composite, not too sure what exactly.OlberJ wrote:Heated seats? Are they not fiberglass?

There's no heater so heated seats are ideal.
