Tut at KH today ...

Post by robin » Sat Oct 07, 2006 9:37 pm

Tut,

Never got to say tara as I was frozen getting tyres fitted and needed to meet the family for lunch in town - you are a mad bugger - I followed you for a couple of laps out there and each lap you were getting deeper into the mud at the macintyres exit  some interesing stuff in Duffus too :-)

How did you think the engine went? I noticed that craig's car was pretty well matched to yours up the straights - does that mean you're still down some power, or is it just gear changes?

Cheers,
Robin

Seemed to be back up on power, certainly had the legs on mine up the straights. :)

Robin

Just posted on the Trackday index with a short report and thanking you.

The car went great, 10 tuts faster on the straights, with the legs on both Craig and Ali, especially in 4th and 5th.

I came back in after the two excursions onto the gravel at McIntyres, a combination of being out too long and the tyres needing a rest, and not getting the new Duffus combination correct. I dont know what it is, I had the old one off to a T, maybe I am going in too deep and fast, or over trying, but I was making a mess of it, and never felt comfortable. Will take it easier next time, or go out with somebody who has it hacked.

Thanks again for the tyres, they made a big difference, as of course did the engine modification............
