lol no thinking of getting the back inlay panel painted black along with the roof, sills and front splitter. just wondering if the lotus letters are stick on or clipped with holes into the rear clam?

I think they put them on using a stencil at the factory.

They are stick on, careful use of a stanley knife blade will get them off then soak the remaining sticky pads with tar remover to get them off.

It's getting them back on correctly that'll be the challenge.

You could make yourself a cardboard template before you remove them.
Should be straightforward enough if a bit time consuming.

Fishing line pulled in behind the letter works well without damaging paintwork, then some petrol or thinners to remove the sticky stuff.

I'd suggest vinyl should want to revert back for sale or if you don't like it?

cardboard template sounds like a good idea tbh

yeah going to get it painted in july while i'm off on holiday but figured a vinyl wrap to let me see what it'll look like may be an idea beforehand. won't look as good as the paint finish but the black insert looks great on the elise but not seen it on an evora so not sure, thus the temporary option just in case it looks a bit rubbish.

Fishing line as mentioned above or dental floss works too.

If you pour a freshly boiled kettle over them it helps anything stuck on like that come off very easily. But that will obviously bring the vinyl off too.
