Great evening and cracking pics. The passenger in photo 2 looks like all they seen of their experience was the inside of a helmet!

Fantastic night and not a red in sight, the whole night without a red was great as it meant uniterupted fun.

Quote of the night came from Tut before we left ASDA in Aberdeen, "I'll be holding back from the car in front as I don't want stone chips", I said to myself "aye that'll be right". Well he was as good as his word !! I thought he was a changed man that was until we stopped at Kniross on the way home and the old Tut was back, lost bum bag again ???? or was it lost ???

Only managed to pax with Pete in the 1M thug, stumbled out wanting to barf. Some fast cars on track, the Noble was lightening and the GTR was mental, fair moved about a bit under full throttle.

Apologies for being unsocial was freezing cold and on a 3 line whip not to rip my suit again so stiff nippled in a work shirt with jacket left behind.

I need to get back on track in 2014....

PS Did I miss the thread about the hairpin being changed?

Yesterday's afternoons drive down to Knockhill was pretty mundane to say the least. I much prefer a 5:30 start instead of being stuck in traffic with so much people hogging the outside lane. Totally different once we turned off the main road though and arrived at KH. I had a brilliant time last night, even with the track time being just two hours. Tuts new car looks great and the acceleration coming out of the hairpin and down the long straight looked pretty quick. The evening stayed mostly dry with only a tiny drizzle passing over for a brief minute or two. I waited until the track was quiet before venturing out, but had a few pax laps beforehand with Mark in his Exige. Cheers Mark. Kathy meanwhile was having fun(scared a big bit) out with Kinger. This was after an eventful few minutes trying to get her helmet on. She said it was tight going over her head, and I said it's meant to be snug to protect you. It was only when I noticed another couple of letters showing XS did we realise why it was not going on properly. Good job no one was watching, ha-ha. I then had a few laps out trying to keep things smooth and not push my limits too far. Told myself, I'd better come in for a bit before I binned it on my first track day. It was great fun though. Watched Kinger and Neil from the pitlane enjoying themselves too. Had a few laughs in the pitlane with the others and then I noticed Stu walking over beside us. The next thing, I am climbing not very gracefully into the 211. Well......what a brilliant car on track, it was great. The grip, the brakes, I had sore cheeks with smiling lap after lap. Loved it. Stu made it look so easy and I was trying to remember his lines and learn from him, but I was just amazed at how late his braking points and how much you felt the car grip. It felt great being a passenger, I could only imagine what it's like to drive or race. Next Stu came out for a few laps with me and gave me some useful advice. Thanks Stu . I later asked for the instructor to sit alongside me for more advice. It was good to push myself and the car on track and to feel what's happening. I can now understand why you all love it so much. I was buzzing the whole way home. Lol.

I have been down to KH four years ago and out in the single seaters once, after receiving a gift as part of my birthday present. It was soaking wet that day and I took it easy not wanting to spin off. I have since then been down twice along with Kinger but only out with a few pax laps with him. The previous SIDC track day I only managed the sighting/warm up laps with Graham the KH instructor before the event was cancelled due to the fog, so yes to your question, it was my first proper track day.

Fabulous evening - it was good to get Lachie out of the house for a wee bit and great to get out on track again -Rorie was out with Tut and still grinning when he got home and I had more than a few pax laps out with Stu in his 211 wicked as always thanks guys
