Did a great wee route, over to Inverary, lots of wee detours to check out roads I liked the look of...
So, get back in the car after a pee break in Inverary and no fuel pump priming noise.... Sure enough, it fires, but then splutters and dies... Arse

Try switching on and off a few times tye see if I can get the fuel pump to go, but no joy... So, pull the fuel pump fuse, it's fine. Try re-priming, in case it's been a bad connection.... Nothing.

So, MFRU - unplug it and give it a rattle, then plug it back in - bang, it fires!
Happy bunny, I trundle off on my way home - hour and a bit later, I pull in at Lomond Shores for a bacon roll and a coffee... It bloody happens again, doesnt it?

Go through the rigmarole as before, sure that it'll be sorted.....
...five times I plug and unplug everything, before deciding that the MFRU has probably died and it's AA time.... I go grab a magazine and settle down for the wait. Chap arrives (not Gordon!) about an hour later and goes through the same throught process I did (after looking in disbelief at my 'artistic' wiring loom)

Second time he unplugs and replugs, it fires up!
Weird... Have a feeling that it's the fuel pump relay in the MFRU on it's way out, as the pump (when it primes) sounds healthy as it ever did...
Oh well... Don't suppose anyone has a spare MFRU lying about I could try out?
