Moto GP
Re: Moto GP
Oh yes, there sure is life left in the Doctor. Some finish !!!
Re: Moto GP
Cracking race!! And a tightly packed field when you account for the 4 lead group riders who lost their bikes in turn 2.
Shame Smith was one of them.

Re: Moto GP

Re: Moto GP
I have BT Broadband, so watched it on the iPad using their app. Not as good as relaxing infront of TV, but not bad actually.
I find BT Sport's commentators irritating. And the main presenting team resemble a Barbie & Ken double act, both with their woodeness and also the level of fake tan and blue teeth...

Re: Moto GP
I thought the BT coverage etc was pretty good.
All three races were excellent and seeing The Doctor fighting for the lead made my day.
Miles better than F1's season opener.

One of the very few negative comments I've seen - especially as it was their first broadcast. Each to their own though - Sykes needs to come up to speed, but I thought everyone else (interesting you're talking about Toseland's teeth, when his punditry was excellent, especially as someone who hasn't done the rounds at Eurosport like a lot of the others) was superb.jasonliddell wrote:I have BT Broadband, so watched it on the iPad using their app. Not as good as relaxing infront of TV, but not bad actually.

Oh come on, Shug. Plenty folk online have voiced similar feelings about the commentary.Shug wrote: One of the very few negative comments I've seen - especially as it was their first broadcast. Toseland's punditry was ok, but somehow he's never convinced me he's an authoritative natural for such a job on TV. Was similar the couple times he guested on BBC coverage - here never seems any insight there. I found Neil Hodgson was good, just needs some polish/experience.
Teeth: I find anyone on TV with glow in the dark blue-white teeth a huge distraction. I don't seek it to. Perhaps that's just me, perhaps no one else is distracted.

I'm with you on that, far too bright, and he's a bit too squeaky clean for a bike racer if you ask me.jasonliddell wrote:

Guess that's part of being married to a pop star?
Re: Moto GP
Genuinely not seen much moaning about the commentary. I loved it - as I did in the 90s when they were commentating on Superbikes. Each to their own, as I say.jasonliddell wrote:Oh come on, Shug. I just get pissed off with people ripping into a quality presentation which you can see has had loads of effort put in - when it's the first show. There was no Eddie Jordan character, who made me want to punch the TV, but it wasn't just bland platitudes either. I thought they hit the spot perfectly.
Everyone has their own opinion though.

Does that mean I'm permitted to get pissed off with people ripping into other people's equally valuable and valid opinion?Shug wrote:I just get pissed off with people ripping into a quality presentation which you can see has had loads of effort put in - when it's the first show.
