Testing has started in Jerez this morning, scanning YouTube for clips I could only find this one. http://youtu.be/CHCCznxOOgA
What a strange sound the car makes when it stalls, a bit of a cross between a hoover and jet engine.

Screens are a great idea. Obviously there to protect the public from the ugliness!

That is unbelievably ugly :puke

First day testing and a total of 93 laps were completed by everyone that went out compared to 600+ last year. Certainly the majority seem to be still finishing their cars and weren't ready for the test. Should mean we will see a lot of evolution throughout the year. Should make for an interesting season as reliability looks like it will play a big part.

Would appear Caterham's aero department have just traced a Bond Bug drawing for their nose's vanity panel!

Watched the last 10 mins or so of Teds notebook on Sky - only heard the F14T running and it sounded waaaayyy too quiet, weird noises abound - no popping or exhaust noises on the overrun as this appears to be replaced by the whiring of a washing machine ending its spin cycle.
It looks like development of the cars has a long way to go yet and even Red Bull saying they should have started earlier on the 2014 car as it wasn't ready for testing and only ran 3 laps or so.
From what I picked up from the comments only Ferrari, Merc and Sauber got decent running and then Merc had a wing failure so may be back to the drawing board.
Australia in March might be won by the car that is last to break down

Really interesting to see if anyones, 'nose job' has a significant advantage over the other as such wild and varied interperatations of the regs... Red bull rake/stance seemed to give a huge advantage last year, intersting to see what this seasons regulations interperatations bring and if one will stand out as a great advantage over the rest, be really interseting if it was someone like Force India wound up with a silly looking car and significant advantage due to it, time will tell, I cannae wait!
