Steamy Windows!

Post by Bada Bing! » Tue Oct 03, 2006 7:48 am

Right this has annoyed me enough to post about it now. How can I avoid the front window fogging up dangerously in the morning, while my aircon is still f**ked thanks to Arnold Clark's super removal/refitting procedures?

In my Elise (non aircon) I had to pull over one day. Journey started clear, 5 mins later completely steamed up. Very scary and very annoying.

Thankfully the Exige has aircon which clears it in seconds.
No cure apart from heating the car up properly.

1. Make sure you windows are super clean

2. Apply RainX Anti-fog

3. Don't breathe out on cold mornings

4. Get up 10 mins earlier

5. Curse not buying a "proper car"

:D
Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.

....did i ever tell you about the Evora and VX220 i used to own?

Open the windows slightly will help keep it clear.

Pour a bottle of warm (not hot) water over the screen before you get in, this warms the screen and makes the moisture in your breath less likely to condense on it.
This is also useful when it gets colder...

(aircon also fecked faction)

OK enough of you have mentioned it, so what is it and where do I get some? Is it some sort of window polish?

Halfrauds - you just wipe it on with a cloth. Easy as...
