This is the new 'Hackney' being launched by Nissan later this year.
Based on the NV200 van, built in Spain. Designed to give Londoners something to be proud of apparently. I just can't see it being popular, it's hideous IMO. London deserves something better.

Although if you take the bling of the front you have a black van, so hardly innovative design

Pathetic.
This is what a black cab should look like.

In the truest of terms, he actually is, just not in the professional sense

Thety certainly look it.
Not sure this is
the new London Black Cab in any official, but is just another competitor that meets the strict regs and happens to have had a god-awful front grafted on in the mis-placed sense it may appeal more?
Not sure that with a 1.6 petrol auto as the only option it'll appeal much anyway?

Was absent-mindedly surfing last night and came across the launch video about this - talking about classic styling cues and a unique vehicle for London. Only at the very end, did they show a van with a comedy nose job - I admit I did actually LOL a bit. Daft.
