BMW M135
Re: BMW M135
If they give me it for an afternoon, I'll pop round and pick you up sanj, or are you hoping the salesman comes with me??

Re: BMW M135
Last salesman I gave a fright was our very own Graeme Robertson. I think it was going fine until the lift off oversteer moment in an Megane cup.
Re: BMW M135
I recently test drove a 320d & 330d X drive @ Eastern BMW and on both occasions the salesman came with me. Quite a short drive past Edinburgh Airport to RBS Gogarburn then back roads to A71 & M8 back to dealership. That was in strark contrast to Landrover who handed me the keys to a RR Evoque and said bring it back later that afternoon so a good few hours.

Cant remember the last time I had an accompanied test drive, never in Aberdeen in fact.
Went to Edinburgh to TD a car and the salesman came with me.
When I drove the M135i from ABZ BMW I got it for the morning. (2 hrs +)

Which is no problem, I got a fright 10 times a week given what we were selling and the average abilities of punters (not you) - the only issue is that you only bought one of the cars you ever drovemckeann wrote:Last salesman I gave a fright was our very own Graeme Robertson. Only accompanied test drive I've had in Aberdeen was for a mini, sales women in the back me and the misses up front. Twice round the roundabout on Wellington Road sorted her out
. DIdn't buy the car in the end poor girl.
In contrast Aberdeen Audi gave me an R8 for a full day. Just handed the keys and asked by the salesman when I wanted to bring it back, could have had it all weekend

Nice one Mike, will drive the TT down and say that I am thinking of upgrading.
If they gave you a weekend they will probably give me a week.

I am fairly certain you would be able to negotiate that with your silver tongue. Probably have to wear a pair of shoes to carry it off though

I only bought 1 also, although I did really enjoy our run in the evora over the slug road. Don't let that fact reflect on your abilities as a salesmanGraemeLotus wrote:Which is no problem, I got a fright 10 times a week given what we were selling and the average abilities of punters (not you) - the only issue is that you only bought one of the cars you ever drovemckeann wrote:Last salesman I gave a fright was our very own Graeme Robertson. Loved the S1, bought it within a week of the test drive
Hated the 111R, you couldn't have given me that, so I honda'd the S1 instead.
You didn't have any 135R's so I didn't come and see you when I sold the S1.
Really wanted to like the 225 Megane but just didn't float my boat.
So 3 test drives, 1 sale. I didn't think I was that much of a time waster, I'm sure you've had much worse. I really want to try a V6 exige but have no intention of spending 50K on a car at the moment so I haven't bothered Brandon.

Since the roads got cold wet and manky, its been spinning up and under steering. I hate under steer. It's relighted my NEED for a rwd drift machine.
Re: BMW M135
I have never bought a car from MMC as I have only ever had N1 and N3, but thanks to John, Graeme, Craig, and Brandon I have driven most models apart from the V6 Exige, along with Astons, Rolls, and Bentley's. Being given an AM V12 to drive around for two hours whilst N1 was being serviced does not come better.
They knew that I was never going to buy one, but that is what they were all about.

You could always drive whatever you wanted, unless I was mad busy or only had one of themmckeann wrote:Don't let that fact reflect on your abilities as a salesmanGraemeLotus wrote:Which is no problem, I got a fright 10 times a week given what we were selling and the average abilities of punters (not you) - the only issue is that you only bought one of the cars you ever drovemckeann wrote:Last salesman I gave a fright was our very own Graeme Robertson. Re: BMW M135
Again, there are a good number of you all that can drive whatever's about; that's the difference between a PLC and a proper sportscar dealer. Again, the boys have kept up the tradition; the late John Martin Jnr would never have had it any other way, and we always try and uphold the principles he established.tut wrote:I have never bought a car from MMC as I have only ever had N1 and N3, but thanks to John, Graeme, Craig, and Brandon I have driven most models apart from the V6 Exige, along with Astons, Rolls, and Bentley's.
