Car's finished!

Post by jimbo » Fri Nov 22, 2013 7:35 pm

The bill is paid (very agreeable considering!) and all the work is now done. Craig has been A1 throughout, constantly keeping me informed of progress and the various bits and pieces that they turned up along the way (they've found a lot!) and Calum (I think that's the guy who's actually done the work) appears to have been at times at his wits end, but gave it the thumbs up after the last run today and I can't thank him enough.

Picking her up tomorrow morning and I CAN'T WAIT! Bro is taking me down for literally opening time, will report back how she seems on the way home...

If you see a white V6 overtake you on the way down, then that will be Kinger trying to be at MMC before you, hoping to purchase the red Exige V6. :damnfunny

Enjoy your drive back home and I hope your happy with the finished result.

Steve.

:D
Got to MMC for just after opening, did my best nonchalant walk (managed to not run in shouting gimme gimme!) and after looking around for a bit and having a good chat with Brandon (nice guy) I jumped in the motor and took off.

Oh my word. I'll struggle to tell you the difference, but suffice to say it literally is "night and day"

Feels tight as a drum, feels quicker, feels so much more refined and so compliant! Grippy on the winter rubber, she finally feels like she's flowing with the road now. Brakes are awesome, even when taking it easy with the new pads. Seriously chuffed to have her back, when's the next run??

Glad it's sorted.

Spotted you today, possibly twice.
I think I saw the Z4 earlier in the day heading south from Dundee, then waved at you after you drove past my house in both directions on the Kingsway, great to see an S1 on the road at this time of year, I really should get mine out of the garage..

Ah! I take it you were who was waving? :D

Yeah previously lots of handling issues, didn't ever feel quite right, way better now! We went to get fuel from the shell station on the corner of the kingsway. Was a good drive home, roof off, cold but toasty in the car with the heater giving it the beans, Yokohama winter tyres really grippy. Loving having her back

Yep, I was the mad man waving

I figured you'd stopped for fuel, or had a really bad sat nav ;)
