Mine too. Well second after the F1.

The last one I saw in a car park at Oulton had a fit and finish that reminded me of my shed, which I loved.

Nice video, sure that will become a classic, especially with the way Chris used the cars compared to how Ferrari control most car tests. Although he did politely mentioned liking the F50 mostly focused on its engine, pretty clear the F40 was winner by miles in every aspect and the fun he had.

Only thing is my childhood dream Ferrari was always the 288 GTO, expect it wouldn't be anywhere close to the F40 in a real use/abuse as designed test.

Same engine/drivetrain IIRC, just lower boost. As a matter of fact, the F40 came out of a 288GTO Evo programme, didn't it? Bet they'd be closer than you think - barring the lighter weight of the F40.

Prettier car, for sure.

Did Evo not rate the F50 above the F40 in there recent Supercar test?

(that's why I think Mike will do fine, that and his lack of imagination).

F40 the winner, but the F50 is a convertible.

Would have to be the 288 GTO for me. A car I've only seen in the flesh once (parked at Brands Hatch 1000kms in '87 IIRC) and struggled to stay upright with such weakened knees at seeing a car I'd listed over and marvelled in the mags (like Lauda's road test in Grand Prix magazine *) :love

Admire the F50's technical milestones, but by god it's an ugly Ferrari!

* in which he struggled to understand why the gear change was so stiff and notch when the 70s F1 cars were "smoother than butter"
