Thinking about getting some track wheels. Is it safe to run 888 on 111r rims?
I realise the front tyres are a bit wider, what are the risks?

I know I should stop being a pikee and get some Exige rims but I rather not have to declare the wheel change as a mod.
Cheers ed

Plenty of people have done it, though the tyres do look a little squished assuming they are the standard skinny front rims?
The 195/50ZR16 is specified as fitting on 5.5-7.0 inch rims and the 111R has 16x5.5 rims so you should be fine even if it looks a little odd.
The 205/55ZR16 will also fit on the rim, but you may have problems with wheel arch contact if you haven't fitted firmer suspension (or anyway, depending on ride height).
Cheers,
Robin
