Novice

Heard about the Company, and I believe the idea came from Switzerland.

Retired from flying 13 years ago now, so just stick to piloting the Elise around.

Just twice in Oman Kenny, once by 12.7mm Spargan, a heavy machine gun manned by the sh*t kid as we called him, and the second time by a SAM 7, shoulder launched IR missile.

Also hit in Northern Ireland when I was in 41 Commando RM flying the clockwork mouse, Bell 47G, but put that one down safely.

Yeah - Heard that one in the pub on right and was angered by it.

Three days on and my response is only slight more tempered.

It is strange that your average petrol head group will tolerate gay jokes, gay slander, etc., whereas racist and sexist comments are few and far between and are normally shouted down ... makes you wonder!

As to the hamster, well he seems to be getting better and I am pretty sure that if he makes it back onto top gear his co-presenters will be ribbing him forever about it and I don't suppose he'll mind too much ...

Actually, there's a lot of logic in that Robin. FWIW, I have no problems saying to anyone that I went through a period in my early 20s where I was at almost every Gay night going. This was purely from a music point of view, as the gay scene has always been the most fun dance music scene and I was a major clubber at that time. I never had what psychologists call an 'experience' but I was hit on more than a few times (which I, to this day, take as a major compliment)

Any cracks (sic) I make about gay this and gay that are purely shorthand 'laddism' (and if it causes offence to anyone, please let me know and it'll be retracted) In my work, I regularly deal with people of all races, creeds, genders and persuasions and any actual discrimination or bigotry is one of the few things that really makes my piss boil.

FWIW, I find that openly gay guys are probably the worst for the 'poof' jokes (in whatever phrasology) but of course, that doesn't excuse any offence raised, as everyone is different.

having met Reg Dwight, he don't give a toss (no pun intended) about being assosciated with phuf humour, and would probably be flattered at being linked to current affairs :P
